The Pet Elite recently talked to Andrew Silberberg, co-founder of Animal Wrappers about the company's comfortable and stylish coats.

The Pet Elite: Can you tell me a little about how Animal Wrappers got started?

Andrew Silberberg: In 1998 Animal Wrappers, manufacturer of dog coats and accessories for dogs, "revolutionized" the pet industry. At that time there were no dog coats on the market that would fit properly.

Gail and I were working in New York's garment industry. Style # 1206, reversible fleece to fleece dog coat, was the "original" upscale dog coat. The pattern was created to fit dogs from size 6" through size 30" with adjustable Velcro closures. It quickly became the #1 selling dog coat in New York and New England. Known for superb fit and high quality fabrications, it quickly caught on with retailers.

Silberberg: Our mission is to provide the finest quality items for independent retailers throughout the world.

TPE: How has Animal Wrappers grown since it's founding?

Silberberg: Animal Wrappers has continued to manufacture innovative designs. Our products are exclusively Made in U.S.A. in our own factory in Sunrise, Florida. By offering original designs and utilizing proprietary fabrications, Animal Wrappers has continued to expand its customer base.

We offer a new line of Warm Wrappers (Fall-Winter) and Rain Wrappers (Spring-Summer) every year. Our products include: dog coats, hats, boots, carriers, beds, dresses, harnesses, t-shirts, and tank tops.
